Theatre Club - Theatre Club
The Rec Theatre Club began in 2015 as a way to give the children of our community the opportunity to explore their interest in the theatrical arts. This club is offered only to residents of North Tonawanda in grades 3 - 12. Our Team of Directors will host an informational meeting on Friday, October 16th at 4pm at The Rec, 383 Vandervoort St., N.T.Audition Info- Held October 19th - 23rd, with time slots offered from 4 - 8pm- Location of auditions, 500 Wheatfield Street, N.T. (Norman Keller Building), Police Conference Room- Families will be sent a link to pick their audition time slots- Auditions will be for BOTH our Play Production (October - December) and/or our Musical Production (January - June)We ask is that all participants dive into this program with passion and commitment to our production.
What does that commitment look like?Our Play Production of "Alice @ Wonderland"Rehearsals - Wednesdays & Fridays, October 28th - December 21, 6 - 8pm Performances - Tuesday, December 22 & Wednesday, December 23 @ 6pmOur Musical Production "Alice in Wonderland"Rehearsals - Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays, January 4 - May 28, 6 - 8pmPerformances (anticipated) - Tuesday, June 1* & Thursday, June 3* @ 6pm*dates are still pending facility approvalAll students who participate are expected to commit to showing up for weekly practices. Rehearsals and Performances will be held at Ohio Elementary Cafetorium.Information regarding Theatre Club will be sent out through the Band app.We are always looking for stage crew help. High school students who volunteer can use these hours toward their service hour requirements.
