News: Holiday Decorating Contest 2025

The North Tonawanda Mayor's Office in conjunction with the Parks & Recreation Department once again have put on their annual Holiday Lighting Contest.  This season 30 houses were nominated by home owners, friends, family or neighbors.  

The homes will judged by members of the Mayor's Office and Recreation Department on December 18 at 5:30pm, and winners will be selected for the following categories:

Griswold- Non-conventional method of decorating in an over-the-top fashion. Use every space of house and lawn with a mixture of lights and décor.

Classic-Lighting is conventional and old-fashion providing a classical look. Ex. Use wreaths, garland, deer and trees as light displays.

Mayor's Choice- Award based on creativity, originality and use of space.

Furthermore, the public has a say in who wins the final award coined "The People's Choice Award".  

Public can vote 2 ways:

1. Vote for any house by liking the individual picture (not the post itself) on the NT Parks & Recreation facebook post

2. Vote on our online submission form at https://forms.gle/Hh57aivfKBPke6W78

Award winners will be announced publicly on December 22 and be presented with a certificate and gift card at a later date.
