News: Seabees Memorial Kiosk

Did you know?
There are over 2,400 names of men and women who served in the Navy that are memorialized on a name plaque at our Seabees Monument (located at Raymond Klimek Veterans Park).

Updates are coming!
We will be installing a 55'' interactive kiosk at the Seabee's memorial.  This kiosk will replace the rotary panel which exists to look up the names and location of the name plaque for the people memorialized on-site.  This kiosk will include educational and interactive material as well as serve in a capacity for you to not only look up the names of the people on-site, but also will have biographical material (information about the individual, and pictures). How cool is that!

We NEED YOUR HELP!
With over 2,400 names we have a lot of work ahead of us to build up the database of information to create a profile for each person.  If your family member served and is memorialized at this site please reach out to us and provide a short biography and any pictures you may have that you would like to include.  As we obtain the information we will integrate everything into the database for inclusion on the kiosk.  Not sure if you have a family member memorialized at this location?  To view a complete alphabetical list of names at the memorial click here.

How is this being funded?
In 2000 as stated in the last will and testament of Dorthy C. Darlak, a memorial fund was established which provides annual grants to the City to support and care for the Seabee Memorial Monument. These funds will be used for this project to benefit and support the Seabee Memorial, as we continue to honor the men and women who served, and educate every generation about the brave sacrifices they made for our safety and freedom.  We are honored to be a part of this amazing project!
